Regulatory Compliance Services

JCLS offers integrated service to the oil and gas industry

The development of inland and coastal sites requires intense research and preparation. Federal, state, and local regulations must be met, and permits and licenses obtained before any activity can begin.

Experts must stay ahead of ever-changing environmental compliance standards to guard against future risks to their clients. John Chance Land Surveys, Inc. (JCLS) has the personnel and expertise for what lies ahead in complying with these regulations.

The Regulatory Compliance Services Division of JCLS offers integrated services to serve oil and gas, petrochemical and pipeline transmission industries. The qualified staff employs the latest in technical skills, research methods, field equipment, and computer-aided support systems to meet the growing demands of clients to satisfy regulatory requirements.

Regulatory compliance permitting services are offered to clients to assist them in their dealings with a large number of governmental agencies, including, but not limited to Department of Environmental Quality, Department of Natural Resources, Department of Transportation and Development, Railroad Commission, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Minerals Management Service. Services are provided for these and other governmental agencies in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.

Federal, state, and local regulatory agencies require that a number of criteria be met before a permit for land development can be given. Financial institutions also require certain information about property before a loan for commercial development can be made. It is imperative to know what these regulations and restrictions are in order to achieve compliance.

Land use planning also includes areas such as city and regional planning, urban and environmental policy, law, natural resource planning, landscape architecture, engineering, environmental impact, project feasibility, risk assessment, and permitting. By applying proven planning techniques to scientific data, John Chance Land Surveys, Inc. helps define and understand land use problems to develop workable solutions which are sensitive to both natural resource and community concerns.
