Port of Tampa

Working in partnership with the NOAA Coastal Services Center (NOAA CSC) and the Port of Tampa, Fugro EarthData developed a prototype decision-support tool for improved port operations. The web-based tool utilizes Fugro EarthData's SIMmetry system architecture to offer users 2D GIS fully synchronized with 3D thematic mapping, query and analysis capabilities, and analytical modeling. Context-driven queries and data views serve specific user groups including environmental, property, and port operations managers, as well as security, marine, and emergency response personnel. Custom queries and views allow users from different disciplines to explore the same data in ways specific to their applications. Analytical models that forecast or track dynamic events over time or that create "what-if" scenarios also can be integrated into the same web interface.
