Stoute named Vice-President of John Chance Land Surveys, Inc.

Jimmie Stoute has recently been named Vice President of survey and mapping company John Chance Land Surveys, Inc. (Lafayette, LA).

Stoute began his career with John Chance Land Surveys (JCLS) in 1981 as an electronics technician. In the mid-eighties he played an instrumental role in the development of the STARFIX® system and was promoted to technical management. In 1992, he was named Manager of Quality Improvement and was responsible for the implementation of the company’s quality management program, which has recently been certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards. In the mid-nineties, Stoute was also acting manager of engineering and responsible for the design and development of the company’s Omnistar® satellite receiver. In 2001, he became manager of the Land Division for JCLS. Stoute received his technical diploma in Industrial Electronics from T.H. Harris and is a graduate of the LSU Executive Education Program.

JCLS offers integrated services to the oil and gas sector such as location surveys, pipeline and unitization surveys, along with ecological services, regulatory consulting, and permitting. Through JCLS’s corridor mapping division, aerial lidar mapping services using its proprietary FLI-MAP® technology are provided for the transmission powerline and transportation industries.
